Who runs this. BuildFast is run by Zach Highley, an individual operator based in Pennsylvania, USA. For anything privacy-related, email zach@zhighley.com.
What gets stored when you enter your email. Submitting the email gate writes one row to our leads database: your email address (lowercased) and a source tag — "book", or "book+waitlist" if you ticked the kit waitlist box. That row is the only thing the site records about you on our side.
Where it lives. The leads database is managed Postgres hosted in the United States (Supabase). The site itself is served by Vercel. Like any hosting providers, they process ordinary connection metadata — IP addresses, request logs — to deliver the site; we don't use that metadata to identify or profile you.
What stays in your browser. The site keeps two values in your browser's localStorage: your theme choice and a marker that you've unlocked the book. They never leave your device. There are no analytics, no tracking cookies, no ad tech, and no third-party scripts on this site.
What your email is used for. Occasional BuildFast updates — new chapters, and the kit when it ships. Honestly: as of the effective date above, no emails have been sent to the list yet. When sending starts, every email will include a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribed addresses stay unsubscribed.
No resale, no sharing. The list is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own use. It's only handled by the infrastructure providers named above, acting on our instructions.
Deletion and your rights. Email zach@zhighley.com from the address you signed up with (that's how we verify it's you) and it will be deleted from the list within 30 days. We may keep a minimal suppression record of a deleted or unsubscribed address so you don't get contacted again. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the rights to access, correct, and object — same email address.
Retention. Addresses are kept for as long as the list operates, or until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.
Changes. If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
